Pool Cover Maintenance
An Aquatrac pool cover is an extremely safe and effective swimming pool cover. To gain the maximum benefit and life from your Aquatrac pool cover, please follow these simple guidelines:
Ensure that no person or obstruction is on the cover and that any water on the cover has been removed (outdoor pools remove the cover pump). Turn the key to ‘open’ position. Hold key in position until the cover is closed. Ensure that there is no debris within the tracks.
Please note: If the cover stops before it reaches the open or close position release the key immediately and contact Aquatrac. If the cover appears to be struggling, release the key and contact Aquatrac.
The PH of your swimming pool must be within 7.2-7.6. Your cover should be left open for shock-dosing pool water. The chlorine level must not exceed 4 ppm. Water temperature should not exceed 90°F for long periods.
Build up of debris, leaves, or rainwater should be swept off the cover before opening. The cover may be scrubbed/hosed using household flash liquid only. DO NOT USE ACID BASED DETERGENTS.

Keep water at correct level. When temperature is above freezing point, run the filtration for a minimum of two hours per day, either on automatic or manual control. When the temperature falls below freezing point and there are not any thermostats fitted, put a small heater in the plant room for background heating and run the filtration continuously. Where there is an external frost thermostat fitted this should automatically switch on the pool pump when the temperature in the plant room drops below freezing point. Ensure that any surface water accumulating on top of the cover is removed.
TROUBLESHOOTING
IF YOUR AQUATRAC COVER FAILS TO OPEN OR CLOSE
1) Check the power supply to the Aquatrac control panel
2) Check trip switches to side of the Aquatrac control panel
3) Contact the Aquatrac team on 01268 571515 or email us at sales@aquatrac.co.uk
FOR OUTDOOR POOLS
If your cover pump fails to operate and a large amount of water builds up on the cover. This may displace water in your pool. Once rectified and the water is pumped off the top of the cover you should not operate the cover until the water level in the pool is corrected.
Large quantities of snow can also affect water level as above.
DO NOT OPERATE COVER IF:
1) There is water on it
2) There is snow on it
3) In freezing conditions
Do not walk on a frozen cover. Avoid standing on cover near the sides and not on the Leading edge beam.
